Becoming a counselor at Camp ALOMA is a fantastic opportunity to connect with God, make an impact in young lives, as well as gain job experience and fill your summer! As a counselor you will serve in a variety of roles, including running activities, participating in and leading worships, leading Bible studies, and connecting with campers on a personal level.
This is by no means, an easy job. It requires long hours and has very little down time. Despite this, working as a camp counselor has its perks, during your time as a counselor at Camp ALOMA, you will make life-long friendships and relationships, amazing memories, and gain the opportunity to grow in your faith and share it with others.
Some of the perks of working at ALOMA include housing and meals in exchange for your work with us. Additionally, Senior Counselors do receive a salary. While the pay is not that of a typical job, you do spend significantly less living up at camp. All Senior Counselors must be at least 18 years old. If you aren’t quite 18 yet, but still wish to help out at camp, we encourage you to look into becoming a Junior Servant, or even volunteering with us.
